Before we get to the companies...

When people talk about the 4 day work week (32hrs), the knee jerk reaction is often:

"Ye but if you only work 80% time, you'll only get 80% output".

The knee jerk reaction is never:

• Hiring becomes easier (fact)
• Staff stay for longer at the company (fact)
• Recruitment costs reduce as a result (fact)
• Other costs reduce e.g. smaller office, less utilities etc (fact)
• Staff are off sick less (fact)
• Staff are more rested, and therefore are more productive (fact)
• Etc etc

When you combine all these factors, they add up.

And when you consider the fact that:

1. Humans naturally work faster when they have less time available (Parkinson's Law)
2. Humans are off sick less when they work less hours

You realise that output isn't 80%... it's more like 100% 💪

When companies switch to a 4 day week, they typically make 3 changes:

1. They "streamline" meetings e.g. reduce frequency, length, optimise etc
2. The implement new processes
3. They adopt new software
