EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Sunday. Thanks to my wonderful, lovely, delightful niece, I’ve spent the majority of the week with a stomach bug — which means that in addition to sleeping like a Gen Zer, I’ve spent way too much time reading up on the frenzy surrounding King Charles’ “hot equerry” and the people obsessed with, of all things, airport carpets. I also discovered a study that claims wearing high heels may be good for you — though, I’m going to pretend I didn’t see that. And I found myself getting oddly emotional over this marshmallow popcorn recipe, which I’m blaming on the arrival of Pisces season.

Deeply important information

👗 Wondering who’s behind Ayo Edebiri’s, Greta Lee’s, and Olivia Rodrigo’s excellent red carpet looks? Now we know

👃 Some companies are apparently pumping special scents through the vents to make coming into work more tolerable. Not sure that’s going to get the job done...

📞 Turns out, Pizza Hut’s hold music really has, well, a hold on people.

🎤 An unexpected member of the Joan Jett appreciation society? Nikki Haley.

🙂 In case you needed more proof that everything old is new again: Doily lace is having a comeback. And big hair is reaching new heights

Barry Keoghan

Has anyone gone from zero (okay, maybe not zero) to everywhere as fast as Barry Keoghan? Ever since those “Saltburn” scenes, the Irish actor has become the ultimate internet boyfriend (still looking at you, Bumble thirst traps) and someone’s actual boyfriend…maybe. That’s as he’s gotten spicy on “Hot Ones,” dominated red carpets, and said a whole bunch of weirdly charming things (see: “Now I’m just Man. Freak-Man. Man-Freak.”) Not to mention, he appeared on not one but two magazine covers this past week: First, there was a “Saltburn”-inspired photoshoot for W magazine, followed by a cheeky appearance in Vanity Fair’s 30th annual Hollywood Issue, where for good measure, he bared it all once again.

Jenny Slate

For those who weren’t already aware: Comedian Jenny Slate is a seasoned professional. So much so that it’s the name of her second stand-up comedy special, now available on Prime Video. In it, the 41-year-old — who famously co-created “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” — mines humor from her elder millennial experience. That includes one of the hardest parts of therapy (at the end of a session, “you’re not allowed to be like ‘Okay, bye bye, I love you’”) and giving birth to her daughter (“I was blessed with an instant set of double-D milky psycho-naturals”). All of which she talks about with the raw, frenetic, kid sister zaniness you’d expect.

Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet

If you’re the type of person who waits until, oh, October 30 to figure out your couples costume, you can thank Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet. On Wednesday, the “Dune: Part Two” stars showed up for a press conference in South Korea, looking like a futuristic Barbie and Ken. Given that Zendaya saved Chalamet’s first apartment from its “very teenage boy” vibe, we assumed she must’ve been the mastermind behind their twinning moment. But wrong we were. It was actually her stylist, Law Roach, who, surprise, surprise, also styled her in that structured robot suit.
