Good morning. Today’s mix opens with an ambient track from JWPaton, followed by piano instrumentals from Nils Frahm (a new release) and Ryuichi Sakamoto (from his final record, 12). Two tracks are discoveries via the latest Ambient Country podcast; they’re by cellist David Darling and guitarist ML Buch. We hear instrumentals from Francisco Tárrega/Alexandra Whittingham, Bruce Kaphan, Yussef Dayes, and Linda May Han Oh. Dayes arranges an incredible full-band performance of “Portrait of Tracy.” We continue with more upbeat tracks from Fields of Mist and Numa Gama before closing with a longform Terry Riley track.
