Google is cracking down (harder) on spam and low-quality content (that's you AI). Google claims a 40% spam reduction.

For the non-industry folks: In theory, it will penalize sites that prioritize google result hacking over providing helpful content, meaning your search will yield results that are actually helpful.

🤑 Ethereum is catching up to BTC thanks to a big update that made it rarer. Upcoming funds could increase its popularity, and its strong performance is going to help it further.

🤑 A House Committee has moved a bill forward that would make ByteDance sell TikTok to avoid a ban in the U.S. The bill has strong support across party lines, it raises questions on whether it's actually possible to make the company sell the app.

🤑 Big risk = big reward, sometimes, but not always. Research has found that very risky stocks don't always pay off like we thought they would, challenging the old advice. It claims that investors might do better by choosing less risky, more stable investments, which can give good returns without the high risk. (non paywall version)

🤑 Social media is changing, moving from public posts to private chats. A new study finds no solid link between social media engagement and actual content readership. It also found negative stories get more attention than positive ones (not new) but it shows how online discussions are driven.

🤑 Even though gold hasn't always kept up with stocks, many claim its long history as a diversifier in an investment mix makes it worthy of consideration. Gold has had its ups and downs, but it's been valuable for a very long time and remains topical along with modern options like BTC.

🤑 With an aim to broaden the definition of "accredited investor," the House passed the Expanding Access to Capital Act. The new definition will include people with certain professional expertise or certifications, further widening the pool of potential investors. Could be a big help for SMBs and entrepreneurs finding it tough to get cheaper funding.

🤑 To get a fair and accurate valuation from VC, understand the nuances of VC motivations first. Entrepreneurs should approach VCs from a position of strength, equipped with knowledge on both tech and venture-speak, to secure terms that reflect their startup's true value.
