Forbes - How The Pandemic Impacts Nature

We talk a lot about the human impacts of COVID-19; but what about the impacts this virus will have on our relationship with nature? It’s becoming increasingly clear that limiting the movement of people, while frustrating, is also giving the Earth a well-needed break. CO2 emissions are projected to drop this year, though not likely enough to combat the effects of climate change. It’s not all good news though; coronavirus concerns could hinder aid during tornado and wildfire seasons. Plus, should you even go to a public tornado shelter during the coronavirus outbreak? Suffice it to say that this illness will continue to change our relationship with the forces of nature in the months ahead.
