The 2024 1Password State of Enterprise Security Report is here!

We surveyed 1,500 workers, including 500 security professionals, about everything from AI to what keeps them up at night.

Here's what we learned: The gap between security and productivity seems to be widening. In their pursuit of productivity, workers are using more unsanctioned apps and devices, adopting new technologies like AI, and bypassing security protocols.

And security teams, especially those that are stretched thin, are struggling to keep up.

For example, the report found that:

• 54% of workers admit to being lax about their company’s security policies.
• 34% use apps and tools that aren't managed by the company (shadow IT).
• 92% of security pros have security concerns about AI, such as entering sensitive company data into an AI tool.
• 50% of security pros say it’s almost impossible to find the right balance between security and employee productivity.
