Helping organizations accelerate software delivery

I provide consulting and training services that help organizations improve their architecture and accelerate software delivery.

I can, for example, review your microservice architecture and identify areas of improvement, or teach a workshop on how to design a microservice architecture.

I also can teach a 1 day workshop Microservices rules: what good looks like that can help you decide whether microservices are a good fit for your application.

South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and India

In April and May, I'll be making trips to Asia. If you are interested in a workshop or consulting engagement at your company, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I'll also be available for remote engagements in those timezones.

A common anti-pattern of microservices adoption is using end-to-end testing. In this article, I explain why end-to-end testing undermines one of the key benefits of microservices. I cover why it’s sometimes a band-aid for architectural flaws and why, in some cases, a monolithic architecture might be a better choice.

Doing more with less: improving the Developer experience

The end of zero interest rates (ie. free money) means that businesses need to tighten their belts. As a result, engineering leaders need to do more with less.

This article is the first in a series of articles that describe how to do just that.

I describe how to increase developer productivity by improving the developer experience (DevEx).
