I see a lot of content creators out there that push the advice “stop consuming and start creating”….

While this is a good idea, it’s important to note that you need inspiration from somewhere.

Kobe Bryant was inspired by Michael Jordan…. So much so, that he stole a lot of his moves.

Luis Figo was Cristiano Ronaldos idol…

There are a lot of other examples out there.. If I wanted to, I could probably find 100 examples of this.

When it comes to consuming content, we could either let it lead to our demise, or we could use it to our advantage.

The trick is having the discipline to really hone in and use it for inspiration.

We should still be creating or performing 80% of the time, but we should also be consuming content 20% of the time….

You may be wondering exactly what you should do with this content consumption time…. You should be using it for inspiration, or in other words, synthesising it to use it to your advantage.

Synthesising is the process of taking different pieces of information, ideas, and inspiration, and combining them in unique ways to generate something new and valuable. It's not just about copying what you see and hear; it's about understanding the underlying principles, adapting them to your context, and applying them creatively to solve problems or create new content…

Now, you may be wondering exactly how you could do this efficiently. Put simply, you need to make sure every platform you create content on is optimised for what you need to consume.

It may seem hard, but its actually quite simple.

If you like to consume on instagram, the key is to go like 10-20 pieces of content in the niche you want to be successful in.

The goal of instagram is to keep you on the platform, so whatever you like or engage with the most, they will feed you.

The same is true for TikTok, YouTube, X, and other platforms. The more you engage with certain types of content, the more you will get recommended that content.

So if you’re someone who can’t get to studying because you always get tied up with consuming content. Start liking content that consists of people study hacks, or content in the subject you’re supposed to be studying.

You may watch a few videos, but after a couple, you’ll find the motivation to go study.

If you’re going all in on a side hustle, this process will allow you to consume content from people who are also involved in the side hustle and it will give you inspiration and proof that what you’re doing is possible.

This is very important to keep you motivated and informed while also pushing you to contribute your unique ideas and perspectives to the world.

Pinterest & Midjourney Blog: Right now i’m building a Pinterest blog with the help of pin generator and mid journey. Here’s the results over the last 30 days.

The key to this side hustle is to find a good visual niche in pinterest and use midjourney to create images for the blog posts. Then take that blog post and enter it in pin generator which automatically uses templates for those blog images and schedules pins for you.

Right now i’m pinning 10 pins per day.

This Newsletter: This newsletter is a way to share my ideas but also over time it will help contribute to my solopreneur journey. At the moment were at 1,106 subscribers and majority of those subscribers are from reddit and X.

Eventually I want to make this big enough to get regular sponsors that fit my content and make $$ through them.

Freelance Writing: Lastly, i’m a freelance writer. I’ve been working with one reliable client for almost 2 years now (time flies) and I get paid anywhere between $1,000 and $2,000 dollars per month…

In the future I plan on doing the Amazon Influencer program, starting picking up content on my YouTube channel (subscribe if you’d like), and maybe coming out with some digital products.
