A survey by 1Password found half of security pros says it's difficult to maintain security and employee productivity when it comes to AI. "Productivity has become paramount, leaving significant security challenges for IT and security leaders -- who often feel like they don't have bandwidth or budget to keep employees secure," 1Password CEO Jeff Shiner says.

AI often conjures up images of a bleak future for some, but when Tata Consultancy Services surveyed futurists about AI, most experts predicted the technology would offer a helping hand to humanity rather than result in a doomsday scenario. "With the use of AI, the passion and the creativity that we as humans can do will start to shine through," said Frank Diana, managing partner and principal futurist at Tata.

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has emphasized in his annual letter to shareholders AI's potential to revolutionize every aspect of work, comparing its impact to the steam engine's historical significance. "[W]e are completely convinced the consequences will be extraordinary and possibly as transformational as some of the major technological inventions of the past several hundred years: Think the printing press, the steam engine, electricity, computing and the Internet, among others," according to the letter.

As artificial intelligence advances and grows ubiquitous in daily operations, organizations might want to consider creating dedicated AI leader roles, says Steven Hall, chief AI officer ISG. A chief AI officer can guide implementation and coordination of AI initiatives, ensure that the right data are used to train AI, establish guardrails and prioritize use cases, Hall says.

Consumers love to spot a fake, and the use of AI will only fuel this, such as with the marketing chaos surrounding Kate Middleton's edited photos, writes Audrey Chee-Read, principal analyst at Forrester. Chee-Read suggests brands lean into intelligent creativity where "teams of creators and strategists conceive, design, produce, and activate business solutions with the assistance of AI, intelligent automation, and data."
