Senior staff writer ​​Zoe Vanderweide has an “inexhaustible enthusiasm” for these AYR jeans. “They’re excellent for spring because they’re made from a really delicious fabric—it’s a cotton blend with just a hint of stretch that drapes beautifully,” she told us. “They have a chic, easy, French-girl-at-the-farmers-market feel to them.”

Meanwhile, supervising editor Ingela Ratledge Amundson’s current go-to jeans this season are the classic (and more budget-friendly) Levi’s 501s. As someone who’s “still missing and mourning skinny jeans,” she especially likes how the elongating legs of 501s are on the slimmer side. “People might not realize that the perfect pair of jeans for them has been hiding in plain sight for, uh, the last 150 years”, she says. “If you haven’t tried on a pair in awhile—or ever—get to steppin’ already.”
