News: Focus Time and Out of Office Events in Notion Calendar

Have you ever wanted to block off your Focus Time or let others know that you're out of the office? Well, I've got the thing for you from Notion Calendar!

We can now create special events directly in Notion Calendar with the introduction of Focus Time and Out of Office events.

These events let us automatically decline any meetings that come up during that time.

But what exactly can you do with these special events? You can take time for deep work and dedicate uninterrupted blocks of time to dive into big ideas, setting aside jam sessions and social time as well. It's all about finding the right balance between focused work and personal fulfillment.

Although it's currently available for Word and School Google accounts, the Notion team is planning to expand it to other platforms soon. So, if you're using a @gmail.com account or Outlook, you won't be left out. Stay tuned for updates!

2 Useful Notion Updates

Let’s dive into a couple of cool updates in Notion that you may have missed!

Quick AI Access

If you are using Notion AI, you now have quicker access to AI on your phone.

To make the Q&A feature even more accessible, Notion has now made it available on mobile devices. They are gradually introducing this feature. This means that we can now benefit from AI-driven insights and assistance wherever they are, at any time.

Simplified Sidebar

Creating new pages in Notion is now just one click away.

Notion added a "new page" button at the top of the sidebar. Now, you don't have to spend time searching or scrolling to find it.

But there's even more! In addition to the new page button, they also made the Sidebar cleaner and more organized.

Small refinements matter to Notion and that’s why we love it :-)
