New York seems to be past its high point in coronavirus cases, that doesn’t mean things are going back to normal any time soon. The iconic NYC Pride March has been cancelled for the first time in history, and city and state officials are continuing to push back against the federal government. Yesterday, NYC mayor Bill De Blasio railed against the president for not providing more financial support for the city. Today, Governor Andrew Cuomo demanded the federal government pay hazard pay for frontline workers, who are primarily women and people of color.
