Flow State - Mary Lattimore
Welcome back to Flow State. We share interesting instrumental music every weekday. You’re on the free tier. The paid tier gets you the daily Spotify playlist, unlocks the Tuesday mix, and keeps us going. You can upgrade to paid here. Good morning. Today we’re listening to Mary Lattimore, an American harpist based in Los Angeles. We’ve featured Lattimore five times before this, including an interview with her last October. She just released a new record in collaboration with Walt McClements, an accordionist who performs with Weyes Blood. Rain on the Road captures the two players’ virtuosity and inventiveness, and on some tracks blends their music with field recordings, as if the listener is eavesdropping on a hidden performance. We’re also re-upping Lattimore’s brilliant record Collected Pieces: 2015-2020, which came out in 2021. Rain on the Road - Mary Lattimore & Walt McClements (40m, no vocals) Collected Pieces: 2015-2020 - Mary Lattimore (70m, no vocals) Have a swell Thursday. |
