AWS CEO exit interview: In his final days as Amazon Web Services CEO this week, Adam Selipsky fielded questions from GeekWire about his tenure in the role, competition in the cloud, and what’s next for him and the company. He disputed the popular narrative that AWS under his leadership was caught off-guard by the rapid rise of generative artificial intelligence. If AWS keeps innovating and executing, he said, it has “a great chance to be just as much of a leader in generative AI as we’ve been in the cloud space for all of these years.”

Amazon is closing a warehouse in Tukwila, Wash., just south of Seattle. Employees will be offered new roles at other warehouses. Read more.
