New: Astra, FlyingPress, PersonalizeWP, & Bricks

Astra Theme… 4.7v has added pre-made header layout options in the form of header presets and also added the native option to upload SVG logo.

FlyingPress… 4.14v has introduced GZIP page caching for GZIP pre-compression of cached files that results in 80% reduction in cache file size and more performance.

PersonalizeWP… 2.2v has added new access control features for blocks, the ability to use visitor profile data like name, email, country in you content blocks. It has also added integration with the WS Form plugin.

New Bricks Release… 1.9.9v of Bricks is now available with over 70+ changes with progress towards the 2.0v release. The big change is for ‘contributor’ user role , which can now only edit their own Bricks created posts.

1. Hosting Buzz… 20i Hosting has added Node .js optimised cloud servers, support for Razorpay through HostShop, and auto purge of cache now done in the WordPress manager.
   
   
2. New WP .com Dashboard… users of WordPress .com can look forward to the newly introduced unified dashboard that allows you to manage and view all your (multiple) websites and domains.
   
   
3. Dev Focused… Ryan Welcher has published a detailed guide to Transients API covering saving, retrieving, and removing a transient along with relevant code examples.
   
   
4. Core Update & Bug Bounty… WordPress 6.6 Beta 2 download is now available. Also, bug bounty reward has been doubled for the period between Beta 1 and the final Release Candidate (RC), which is scheduled for July 9, 2024.
   
   
5. Acquisitions Train… Ionut Neagu from Themeisle has acquired (Links X) ‘Redirection for Contact Form 7’. This plugin has over 300,000+ active installs, and the pro version is priced at $99 and $199.
   
   
6. WP Milestones… the team at Melapress is celebrating the 11th Anniversary of the WP Activity Log plugin with the 5.0v release which includes a revamped reports module, MainWP support, and more.
