It’s not about just looking beautiful and moving around the football field with pom-poms. These women are elite athletes and being an NFl cheerleader is a full-time job — yet most of them also have full-time jobs too. Why is that?

Fitness is also crucial, as cheerleaders must maintain a high level of physical conditioning to keep up with the demands of the job. Tryouts and Appearance Standards:

The competition to become an NFL cheerleader is fierce. For example, the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders typically have 800 to 1,000 women audition for around 35 to 40 spots. Once selected, cheerleaders are subject to strict appearance standards. Many teams have specific requirements regarding hair, makeup, and body type. Some teams even have weight restrictions and conduct regular weigh-ins to ensure cheerleaders maintain a certain look.
