My seven year old son held my daughter under water long enough for her to almost drown.

His reaction to her rushing to us and crying because she was so scared about what just happened?

"We were playing a game and she's still alive, so what's the problem?"

Not being dead, was a good thing to him.

While one person was fighting for their life the other was playing and finding it funny he got so much backlash.

It taught me this: perspective is everything.

Aaron Perris spotted a downvote option on post replies in the back-end code of 𝕏.

𝕏 engineer Jay Baxter confirmed they're testing this feature to make Community Notes more reliable:

"Community Notes wouldn’t work well without negative rating signal. But you have to be smart about how you use them. If you naively add them all up, you’ll get a hivemind like Reddit. One way: only downrank if you see negative ratings from people who typically disagree"

To understand better how people are using the app, Threads surveyed nearly 2,000 Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X, and Boomer respondents in the US about their social media preferences.
