Flow State - Kiasmos
Welcome back to Flow State, your daily instrumental music newsletter. Paid subscribers get a daily Spotify playlist, unlock the weekly Tuesday podcast, and keep this newsletter alive: Good morning. It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Kiasmos, a Faroese-Icelandic duo of Janus Rasmussen and Ólafur Arnalds. We first recommended them back in March 2019. Arnalds plays piano and Rasmussen produces. They make driving, keyboard-led dance music that’s finely crafted, propulsive, and sounds like insight translated into music. They just released the album II, their major follow-up to their eponymous debut LP from ten years ago. We’re revisiting that excellent album as well and looking forward to III in 2034. II - Kiasmos (50m, no vocals) Kiasmos - Kiasmos (50m, no vocals) Have a keen weekend. |
