Jen Glantz here. I’m trying to look for new apartments in Brooklyn because we have royally grown out of the tiny little one we’ve lived in for 5-years. It’s barely over 600 square feet and fits my husband, baby, dog, and myself —- plus all of our stuff. The catch is: two-bedrooms in our neighborhood are (ready for this…) $6,000-$10,000 a MONTH.

I can’t afford this kind of rent. But a lot of other people can. These apartments fly off the market faster than you can sneeze: wtf who has this much cash.

I asked my friend who leases apartments on this side of town how the heck people have that much money? She checks their applications. She sees their income.

Some people, she said, make $30,000 a month.

But today, I wanted to share how we can all make an extra $1,000 a month.

That extra cash won’t help me rent a two-bedroom around here but it certainly will help me pay off my bills without dipping into savings and plus, it’s always good to earn extra cash that’s not related to your full-time job. It could help inspire you to build a side hustle that generates extra income every month.
