Liquid Weekly 3rd Anniversary

Liquid Weekly begin in August 2021. What started as a means to scratch my own itch and an experiment in starting a newsletter has grown into something of greater value. I'm not a professional marketer or newsletter author - simply a Shopify focused web developer who enjoys improving his craft and learning about this ever changing field.

Along the way my goal has always remained the same - be a part of this amazing community of Shopify developers and enjoy the process.

The best part has been meeting so many interesting and helpful people. There are too many to fit in this brief article but some highlights have been getting to know Mohammad and crew over at gadget.dev, Taylor Page who co-hosts the Liquid Weekly Podcast with me and of course getting to know the award winning Harshdeep.

Thank you for reading and listening along. I truly hope it's been a helpful resource and encouragement to you in your own work in the Shopify ecosystem.

SVG Management for Themes
Hello everyone, today we take a look at the “svg-library” snippet, my current take on SVG management for Shopify themes. I love SVGs and I’m always on the lookout for more efficient implementations in Shopify. Right now, I see two uses for them : Utility and Content.
Link Products With Swatches
I’ve had a lot of clients in the past and some recently who want separate products in the back end linked on the front end. All clothing companies. The solution I will share below is an easy solution for both you and the client! This setup is particularly advantageous if your customers shop by color and/or the size of your store's product catalog is rather small.
#Shopify Hacks
#ShopifyHacks is series of free resources for the greater Shopify community. For Merchants, Developers, Conversion Rate Optimization folks, Marketers, Freelancers, Agencies, Designers, App creators and anyone remotely near the Shopify ecosystem. The aim is to openly share as much information as possible so that we can learn and grow together in abundance!

Rails 7.2: Better production defaults, Dev containers, new guides design, and more!
We are happy to announce the release of Rails 7.2! There has been close to 2,500 commits made by over 400 contributors since Rails 7.1, so this release is packed with new features and improvements.
Hide your products from storefront and offsite search
Here's a quick demonstration to showcase how to hide your products from onsite (your Shopify website) and offsite (Google Search, Bing, Duck Duck Go, and other search engines) search. This technique requires zero coding and leverages a hidden SEO metafield that has been around for a long time, but is really hard to find in documentation. It removes products from the sitemap, which effectively makes it "invisible" to onsite and offsite search.
