You have a long list of data. People, or titles or whatever. And you got them from a number of different sources.
You got ppl emailing you, filling out forms. However the data gets to you, it’s your job to make sure there are no duplicates.
A common problem in Google Sheets is to find duplicates. Sort a column, look down the list.
Even Google Sheets has a remove duplicates feature. But it’s destructive.
I would rather see the duplicates and figure out how they got there in the first place.
I use a Match formula to go down a column and see if there’s a duplicate.
And I can get a row’s number from ROW() formula.
I set an IF formula to see if the MATCH() equals the ROW().
