- For Email Customizations… the team at BracketSpace is launching Pretty Email
plugin that promises to make custom email creation process easy with
email template builder and customizer. The pre-order option is available
and plugin launches on Sept 16, 2024.
- Tailwind CSS in WP… bringing Tailwind CSS v4.0 integration to WordPress, Joshua Gugun Siagian has launched WindPress (previously called Yabe Siul). It comes with support for Gutenberg, Kadence, Bricks, Breakdance, and Builderius. Support for Elementor, Pinegrow, Divi, & Zion is coming soon.
- Plugin Developers Note… if you publish themes or plugins on the
WordPress org directory, two-factor authentication (2FA) for plugin and
theme authors will be mandatory
from October 1st, 2024. Also, the SVN password feature is being
introduced to separate your commit access from your main WordPress org
account credentials.

- Automattic’s Collaborative Support… Kevin Jahns, developer of Yjs framework for building collaborative applications, has been sponsored by Automattic to make the Gutenberg editor more collaborative like Google Docs.
- WP 6.7 Roadmap… WordPress 6.7 will be the final release of 2024. Anne shared the roadmap to WP 6.7,
which is scheduled for release on November 12, 2024. It has a new
default ‘Twenty Twenty-Five’ theme and other changes like refining data
views, polishing the query loop, template registration API, block
bindings, and more.
- WordPress Design System… Joen Asmussen shared about the requested
initiative to consolidate and enhance design system efforts across
WordPress org and bring together existing tools like WordPress components, the new Figma library, and Storybook.
- GatherPress Feedback… GatherPress project which intends to replace Meetup .com setup is looking for your feedback and support. You can test drive via playground and if you are meetup organizer – then use this to provide real case feedback.
- New People & Roles… Matt Mullenweg is excited (Links X) to welcome Pedraum Pardehpoosh as new VP of Product at Automattic. WP Engine has appointed Samuel Monti as its Chief Financial Officer, for the leadership and management of all aspects of WP Engine’s financial organization.

BuddyBoss Polls… 2.6.90v update has added an interactive Polls feature that can be displayed in the activity feed and groups feed, making it easy to gather opinions or feedback from users.
Tutor LMS Subscription… Tutor LMS has introduced all-new built-in subscription
feature thereby eliminating the need to rely on subscription creation

Bricks 2.0 Roadmap… Thomas Ehrig shared what all users of Bricks Builder can expect in the near future with Bricks 2.0 release. The focus is on query filters, accessibility improvements, template bundles, and price changes.
FluentBooking 1.5.21v has introduced multi-month
support
in multiple bookings, added a ‘Mark as Paid’ option for paid bookings
created by admin, and option for event time for one-off group event.
FunnelKit… has added PushEngage integration for WordPress websites allowing you to trigger automated web and app push notifications for visitors.
Black Friday Trends from WooCommerce Survey
WooCommerce shared the findings
of a survey to understand strategies, challenges, and expectations of
the upcoming Black Friday period among merchants, developers, and
agencies. Almost 66% saw a spike in sales from October to December
period.
Almost 46% of merchants revealed that 30% of their annual sales
volume is generated during BFCM and the holiday season. It is not
surprising that many creators prepare for this period in advance by
adding new products, features, adjusting prices, and even improving
website performance for better conversions.
