Investigation Reveals Secret Service Failures

An internal investigation has revealed multiple failures in the Secret Service’s protection of former President Trump before his attempted assassination in July.

In addition to breakdowns in communication, the probe found that agents failed to ensure safeguards that would obscure the view from the rooftop location from which shooter Thomas Crooks fired on Trump.

Secret Service also never instructed local police to secure the roof leading up to the rally.

Russia Threatens West Over Missile Decision

Russian officials have threatened an all-out war with NATO if Ukraine’s allies allow it to use Western-made, long-range missiles to strike Russia.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev punctuated the threat Saturday, saying Russia would turn Kyiv into a “giant melted spot” if the missiles were used.

President Biden hosted British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington D.C. this weekend, with pressure mounting to lift the ban on Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles, a tactic Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says is critical to his country’s victory.

Analysts are suggesting that, though an extreme outcome, a Russian retaliation to long-range missile strikes could include nuclear tests to show resolve.

List: US States with Most Million-Dollar Homes

Cities where the average home is worth at least $1 million are more numerous than you might think, according to a new study based on data from Zillow.

Leading all states by a landslide, California has 218 cities with homes averaging $1 million or more. At number two, New York has 76 such cities. New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida round out the top five, with every other state sitting at less than 30 “million-dollar cities.”

All told, the U.S. has 621 cities where a typical home is worth $1 million or more. See the full list here.
