100% of people make this mistake.
And 100% we’ve all had that nightmare of being naked.
The mistake is: Highlighting the header of a table in a bold color.
It’s common to do.
And that nightmare is common too.
…
I get it, we don’t want to share black and white tables.
But when we color our headers… and only our header rows….
It’s like wearing a hat and being the guy with that hat.
Worse, you might be the one wearing a hat without any clothes.

What I like to do is
A) use a pastel color on the header
B) Change the black text to a darker version of that pastel
C) Use Alternating Rows feature to add color to the tables.
D) this bring attention to the data, where you want attention.
Also
I like to use custom colors of the company I work for. It’s definitely eye-catching at first, but then fades to the back of ppl’s minds.

Bonus
Just an idea, use alternating colors for rows and then your headers won’t stick out as much.
