I finished up Biblio-Style and haven’t yet started a new book. I have no idea what I’m in the mood for. It’s going to be a game time call when I pick out a book to read tonight.

• I didn't really know anything about The Fall Guy before we watched it. I had heard good things and knew it was about movie stunt people. That was it. But, I love the two leads so we gave it a go. It was great! It's like an action/rom-com. The best part is that it did not take itself too seriously which helped the bits land. I also really enjoyed the meta-ness because you know real stunt people are doing the stunts for Ryan Gosling. In some ways, the entire movie is a love letter to stunt performers and coordinators. • We finally found the time to watch the nearly 3-hour long Dune: Part 2. As with the first movie I found the pacing a bit slow but, also, mesmerizing. I have not read the books so I have no idea if this is a faithful adaptation, but I enjoy how the narrative and world building are unfolding. The casting is fantastic EXCEPT for Christopher Walken. He sticks out like a sore thumb. He's just Christopher Walken being Christopher Walken. [Max]

• Chicken caprese salad is better as a summer dish, but I'm glad we tried it. This is, essentially, a caprese salad meets garden salad. We sous vided the chicken in the marinade before chilling and that gave the meat a ton of flavor. Also, a little dressing goes a long way. [Eating Well]

• For whatever reason, our store was out of chili-garlic sauce and dried soba noodles. We subbed in chili crunch and vacuum-packed soba stir fry noodles. Those two changes meant that our soba noodle salad with chili-glazed shrimp didn't come out quite right. It was missing texture and heat. It wasn't bad, but the right ingredients would have helped a lot. [Real Simple]

• I made baked feta and tomato chickpeas as my lunch meal prep. It was so easy and so good. Next time, I will add more tomatoes because I wanted a bit more of a 50-50 ratio of ingredients. Also, I used crumbled feta we had on hand instead of a block of feta. There was no difference in flavor. I scooped this up with pieces of pita bread. [Eating Well]

The severe light pollution in my neighborhood kept me from seeing the aurora in person, but at least I got to admire all the pictures. [WaPo - may be paywalled]

One Minute Park lets you visit random parks for one minutes at a time. It’s a nice way to arm chair travel.

Do the kiddo and I both have the day off tomorrow? Yes. Could I have spent the day with my kiddo instead of sending her to art camp? Also, yes. Do I regret giving myself a few hours of kid-free time? *laughs*
