- Got a Plugin Idea… Brandon Ernst and Ben Townsend have launched an interesting IdeasWP project
where you can submit your plugin ideas, and they will build the actual
plugin. Further, plugin will be listed on an upcoming website and you
will get 30% share.
- Lottie Animations on WP… the team at HumanMade has launched Lottie Lite for WordPress
animations plugin. It promises a simpler and more efficient solution
for WordPress users to display animations using Lottie files.
- WP Command Bar… Calvin Alkan is gearing up to launch CommandUI, which promises instant access to everything in WordPress, like installing plugins, searching CPTs, and more.
- WPForms to Slack… there is a new Slack addon
in WPForms that allows you to connect your forms directly to Slack
without any third-party tool. Like create Slack reminder when form is

For Affiliate Marketing… Nathan has released the PassiveWP plugin
for Amazon affiliates. It comes with Amazon Associates integration
allowing you to find the best products from Amazon products right within
your WordPress site.
Woo Product Tables… Crocoblock has launched a new Jet Product Tables
plugin for WooCommerce users. This allows you to build Responsive
product tables, with the listing of WooCommerce products on your
WordPress website.
AI Content Summary… Julian Yanover has launched WPSummarize,
which promises to create a summary with key data highlights of your
blog post content with AI powers. It can batch process existing posts
with the option for manual edits.

- Breadcrumbs & Blocks… Justin Tadlock has updated the free X3P0: Breadcrumbs
plugin with the option to remove the first breadcrumb. It has also
added a Markup Style option for selecting between plain HTML, Microdata,
and RDFa (default) markup.
- Snippet for Patterns… Justin Tadlock has shared first snippet at the Developer Blog on the WordPress org website. Check the snippet that allows you to unregister patterns when specific blocks are unavailable.
- WordPress RC & 6.7v… WordPress 6.7 Release Candidate 1 is now available for download for your testing. WordPress 6.7 is scheduled for release on November 12, 2024, check the WP 6.7 field guide. Also, check this video by Paul Charlton covering WP 6.7 features.
- Security Collaboration… check this interesting conversation between Miriam Schwab and Oliver Sild, hosted by Nathan Wrigley, on security collaboration between Elementor and Patchstack.

Matt vs WP Engine: Injunction by WP Engine
Timeline of Events… WP Engine has published a timeline of events from September 23 to October 18, 2024 to keep everyone informed from their side of things.
“WP Engine filed a motion for a preliminary injunction, requesting
that the court order Matt Mullenweg and Automattic to stop their harmful
actions immediately and act to preserve the status quo ante while the
case is being litigated”.
Matt vs WP Engine: Who owns WordPress Org?
From the fine print, WordPress org is a property of Matt Mullenweg
and is not controlled by Automattic and WordPress foundation. This was
the talking point among members of the WordPress community.

I learned that the repo is not the property of Automattic, nor the
WordPress Foundation. It’s Matt’s thing, and he has no obligation to
anyone.”
