Sephora’s biannual Savings Event is here and so many Strategist favorites are on sale — everything from Summer Fridays’ ubiquitous lip balm to the strand-saving K18 hair mask. There are thousands of products to sift through, so we put two writers on it: Bella Druckman broke down (pretty much) everything we’ve written about that’s on sale and beauty writer Tembe Denton-Hurst broke down what she thinks are the best deals. 

As for what we’re buying ourselves, I asked our group chat and everyone is going crazy for Ceremonia’s Guava Rescue Hair Heat Protectant Spray. Lauren Ro bought it yesterday, to which Ambar Pardilla replied: “another guava spray convert!!!!! welcome to the club — it's the only thing standing between me and looking like miss frizzle.” She convinced Emma Wartzman to buy it last August and now Hilary Reid (and admittedly myself) have added it to our carts. 

In more beauty news, these are the mascaras our beauty writers actually use and elsewhere on the site, Bella Druckman chatted with a number of men’s stylists, clothing-store owners, and generally cool and outdoorsy men about the vests they wear.

Last week, I asked you all for help in our search for the duffel bag senior editor Ailbhe Malone spotted in a Lana Del Rey video. One reader emailed in suggesting vintage Vera Bradley. We thought that too, but our continued search left us at a dead end. That was until I flipped through the carousel on this 260 Sample Sale x LoveShackFancy post and … there it was, ruffles and all. If you’re in the city, the sale runs through November 10 (but things tend to clear out fast at these things, so wouldn’t dillydally).
