Each year, in order to create the Strategist’s annual print “Gift Guide” (subscribe here!), we set out to find the newest, grooviest, most surprising and delightful things that you (very likely) won’t find in the zillions of other gift guides out there in the universe. 

Today we’re highlighting our favorite inexpensive gifts. A few things of note: Broadway tarot cards illustrated by Al Hirschfeld, a hard-to-track-down macaron-shaped Jellycat, a tiny ’tini charm from Susan Alexandra, and a kids’ book on plants that’s rich in historical context by Jamaica Kincaid and Kara Walker.
