I have stacks of these cork trivets all over my kitchen, and I use them in a variety of ways: for setting under hot pots and pans, as wide coasters, for setting down my glass coffee carafe on countertops, and for pinning grocery lists with a tack, like a mini bulletin board (I hang the trivet via a clip magnet on my fridge). Beyond the kitchen, I keep a few on my coffee table and side table as coasters but also as a small platform for larger decorative items like candles and plants.
