The Denim Trend Dominating My Wardrobe In 2025

Ever since the first 5 p.m. sunset of the season, I’ve been fighting the urge to change into pajamas once I finish work each day. As a hardcore homebody, December is usually the month I embrace hibernation — a typical Friday in my house includes festive films, scented candles, and a face mask (plus, a microcurrent wand, if I’m feeling adventurous). But this year, I’m tapping into my inner extrovert and maintaining some semblance of a social life. The first step? Shopping for holiday-ready attire, because if anything can encourage me to go out, it’s a cute outfit. While I love a sequin-heavy set, this year, I’m swapping sparkle for bold prints, striking silhouettes, and statement colors — think the Kaia Gerber-approved cherry red craze. Once I secure my ensemble, I’ll make plans with my friends (all of whom are shocked to see me in public). Perhaps we’ll visit a holiday pop-up in NYC, get glittery manicures, or concoct a cozy cocktail at home. Who knows if my super-social season will last past January 1, but even if it doesn’t, I can head into 2025 knowing I gave it my best effort.
