A 12-year-old Georgia girl sprang into action when the car she was riding in was t-boned in a crash, trapping a family friend in their vehicle.

Sage Hopper helped evacuate several children, including her 5-year-old sister Elaine, moving them to safety in a roadside ditch.

She then remained with Elaine during her airlift to a hospital in Atlanta, where the younger girl was treated and released the same day.

Over a month later, AirLife Georgia honored Sage with a certificate of heroism, with her father, Tyler, a Griffin police officer, noting he wasn't surprised by his daughter's bravery.

Two college students created Dinner with a Stranger, a friendship matchmaking society, after observing that "our generation is lonelier," co-founder Mary Yiorkadji explained.

The group pairs students for platonic meetups based on monthly personality quizzes and has grown from an expected 30 members to over 200 in its first month.

Founders Yiorkadji and Juliette Sartori manually match participants. They predict that friendship dating will become more mainstream as remote work and education increase.

When a Virginia couple's barn wedding venue burned down on their wedding morning, 23-year-old bride Meredith Diedrich chose to laugh rather than panic.

With help from family, friends, and venue staff, the Nov. 16 wedding was relocated to a cider farm seven minutes away, staying on schedule after the community rushed to move decorations, food, and drinks.

The couple's "Beauty from Ashes" ceremony went ahead without delay, even securing a last-minute makeup artist who drove two hours to help after seeing a video about the venue fire, which officials believe was electrical.
