#1 - Auto-DM new followers a subscription link

The thesis is simple: if someone likes you enough to follow you on social media, it doesn’t hurt to ask them to subscribe to your newsletter.

Here’s an example from Tyler Denk, founder of Beehiiv, who does this brilliantly:

Why this works:

→ It’s a low-friction ask. Followers already have that initial trust after followign you

→ It creates another touchpoint, moving your audience to your owned space (email)

Pro tip → Offer a lead magnet instead so you increase your chances of conversion

If you’re building on social, don’t underestimate the power of a simple, well-timed ask.

#3 - Tweak your LinkedIn headline to redirect people to your content

I saw Lara Acosta, who has over 140k followers on LinkedIn, do something really clever with her LinkedIn headline.

Instead of treating it like a bio (as most of us do), she uses it to promote her latest content. Here’s how it works:

Why this is brilliant:
→ Every time she engages on the feed, her headline shows up, creating curiosity
→ Profile visitors see a clear next step: click the link
→ It turns casual views into traffic and engagement

Most of us think of the headline and link as set-and-forget features. Lara shows how powerful they can be when used strategically.
