After announcing there wouldn't be any increase in FBA fees for 2025, Amazon has found another insidious way to squeeze sellers while trying to maintain the optical illusion of not increasing fees. On Wednesday, Amazon announced that they would now only compensate for lost units based on the manufacturing cost.  You're wondering, does this include costs to land the item like shipping costs and tariffs? LOL. You must be new to Amazon.

🚘 You Can Now Buy A Hyundai On Amazon. Amazon is trying to get a piece of the auto market which sees 16million cars sold annually. In select U.S. cities, it's now possible to buy a new Hyundai. There's a bunch of caveats that you can read about here but it may be a sign of the traditional car-dealership model being disrupted.  

📈 Rate Cuts...But Don't Hold Your Breath For More. The Fed announced rate cuts this week but gave some bad news - they're expected to lower rates less than expected in 2025. This means if you're borrowing money to pay for those CNY purchases, don't expect to get a huge break on the cost of lending next year. 

🪧 Teamsters Launch Largest Ever Strike Against Amazon. Thousands of Amazon employees went on Strike on Thursday. Teamsters General President said,  "If your package is delayed during the holidays, you can blame Amazon’s insatiable greed. We gave Amazon a clear deadline to come to the table and do right by our members. They ignored it.". Spicy words.
