Our new favorite Bluetooth keyboard

A great wireless keyboard can reduce clutter on your desk and help you type faster and more comfortably—on your computer, sure, but also on your tablet, phone, or even TV.

After testing more than 80 wireless and Bluetooth keyboards over the years, we’ve crowned a brand-new top pick that’s enjoyable to type on, very versatile, and that has a years-long (!) battery life. Plus? It comes in very, very cute colors for a little pop of fun on your desk.

Says newsletters editor Haley Jo Lewis, who is currently typing this very email on her lilac beauty: “It’s surprisingly good-looking for being such a utilitarian item. It adds a touch of delight to my otherwise quite ugly standing desk.”

Plus: What to know before buying new towels

When you’re shopping for towels, says senior staff writer Jackie Reeve on this episode of The Wirecutter Show, hold off on purchasing a full set right away—no matter how soft they feel. Instead, buy just one to start, and see how it holds up after a few washes.

Towels come with finishes on them that affect their texture, so the way it feels on a store shelf or when it arrives at your house brand-new is probably not how it’s going to feel after a few washes. It takes about five cycles to get all traces of those finishes out of a new textile. If you like your towel after this trial period, then great: Get a full set. Oh, and by the way? You should be washing (or changing out) your towel every three days. Sorry.

One last thing: Your new keyboard’s best friend

A great wireless mouse can help you navigate more quickly and easily than a finicky trackpad, and there are no wires to clutter up your desk space.

For nearly a decade, we’ve tested hundreds of mice of all shapes and sizes. And in all that time, this one has remained a favorite. It’s comfortable, fits well in most hands, is customizable, and boasts a long battery life.
