These bowls are teeny, tiny, and surprisingly useful

“Although being an organized cook isn’t an innate skill of mine,” writes kitchen expert and staff writer Maki Yazawa, “I’ve honed it thanks in part to these cute little meal-prepping bowls.”

These tiny bowls might not look that useful at first glance, but they help you to cook a bit more like a professional chef: allowing you to pre-portion out all the ingredients you’ll need for your recipe before you start cooking. For Maki, they are the key to keeping her kitchen from looking like a hurricane blew in after cooking a big meal.

“They make cleaning up as I go a breeze, since ingredients aren’t sprawled out all over the place,” she writes. Plus? They come with lids, which makes popping leftover ingredients into the fridge a cinch.

The full-sized mixing bowls we love

When mini bowls just won’t cut it—say, in the case of mixing cake batter or tossing messy salads—you’ll need a regular-sized bowl, we suppose. After scooping 200 cookies, cracking over 60 eggs, and tossing many boxes of cereal in 13 mixing bowl sets, we’ve tracked down the best stainless-steel and glass options.

One last thing: A handy and handsome fridge storage rack we love

Short on kitchen space? Consider taking advantage of some hidden-gem storage: the side of the fridge. Staff writer and organizing expert Caroline Mullen likes this “ingenious” magnetic rack for corralling odds and ends, including spices, olive oil, paper towels, and more.
