How to find young sites with high traffic

The quickest way (by far) is to filter a database of sites.

Site Stats Database is perfect for this. It has over 400,000 websites, including 1,000+ that were launched less than a year ago.

You just set the Date Registered filter to a year ago, and sort by highest traffic. Done.

The alternative is to gather a list of sites on your own and bulk check the registration dates, then filter by sites less than a year old. You’d then need to bulk check the traffic. Time-consuming, tedious, and pricey. Ask me how I know lol.

Revealing a few high-traffic, young sites…

Spencer Haws of Niche Pursuits published a video today revealing 4 high-traffic sites that are less than a year old.

I actually helped by putting together the list of sites, which I found using Site Stats Database.

One of the sites featured in the video is the one getting 400,000 monthly visitors I shared at the beginning of this email.

When I was doing research for the video, I found lots more sites than those four.

Including this one, which gets a whopping 1.6 million monthly visitors:

This site is marvelrivals.gg.

I don’t know anything about the niche, so this is what Wikipedia says:

“Marvel Rivals is a 2024 third-person hero shooter video game developed and published by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. The game was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on December 6, 2024.”

The game was launched in December 2024. The site above had nearly 2 million visitors in December. Absolutely wild!

But how much money does it make?

Assuming a $5 RPM, the site is likely earning over $22,000/mo from ads:

Not bad for a 3 month old website lol.

Are you aware of other games launching soon with a lot of hype? If so, it might not be a bad idea to launch a website about it ASAP. Even if the game hasn’t been released yet, you could publish rumor articles.

The nice thing about these trend-based websites is that you don’t have to worry about already-established competitors. Your site will be among the first in the niche, and Google will have no choice but to rank you.
