Xbox Blocks Publishers From Charging for Series X Upgrades

Xbox Blocks Publishers From Charging for Series X Upgrades
We have already known for some time now that the Xbox Series X's Smart Delivery allows certain games to be upgraded from the Xbox One to the Xbox Series X, free of charge. However, it appears that this is something that Microsoft is pushing all game development companies to do, rather than have the companies charge for their upgrades. Ultimately, though, Microsoft is given game development companies the choice on whether they want to join the program or not. So far, only 14 titles are part of the Smart Delivery program, including Cyberpunk 2077, Gears 5, and Halo Infinite.
