For those who don’t want to scan every product launch of Product Hunt, don’t worry. I do, and I include the most interesting potential venture scale startups here, with bullets on why I think they could be be big.
Top 3 potential venture scale products
Virtually - A modern, fully-customizable solution for teaching online. Live conferencing, payment-processing, and student management brought together in one place.
Right now, courses are very popular whereas consulting is not. Yet, courses are pre-recorded consulting sessions. Virtually allows creators to create schools and teach the classes live, seamlessly. It’s an effortless merge of consulting and courses.
As you all know by now, I am very bullish on the creator market. More and more people want to teach online, and virtually will introduce a brand new format.
Virtually is currently a startup in the S20 batch of Y Combinator
Macro- Macro is a customizable meeting interface built on top of Zoom,
reimagined for collaboration and inclusive conversations
Where many companies are trying to compete with Zoom head on, they underestimate the challenge to just get video to work all the time. This is an underestimated element Zoom.
Macro instead is betting on Zoom, augmenting it, and maybe it 10x more powerful than it would be without it. Includes features people wish Zoom had.
I expect Zoom to have massive success, which Macro will be able to hold onto. Although a contrarian move to build on top of Zoom, I think it will pay off for them.
Brunchwork - Learn from top business leaders, expand your network, understand market trends, and build your business acumen.
On the surface, this feels like it’s trying to copy YC. Look a little deeper and it’s actually a pretty badass way for people to understand what’s going in tech/startups. I think the best audience for this will be MBA types trying to understand tech
They have very well known names as a part of it like Andrew Yang, Trevor Blackwell, Arlan Hamilton, and many more. So clearly this has won over the trust of many insiders
They seems to be positioning themselves like a school, yet they aren’t using. messaging that reflects that. I like that. I feel like this will be a big company. I don’t know anyone inside of it, but I just have a feeling.
Honorable mentions
