Hey product people,
I just tweeted a thread with 20 pro-tips for selling online. Lots of good stuff in there.
Here are 5 of my favorites. Enjoy :)
1) Just get started
Don't overthink it.
You don't need the perfect
sales pitch
research
tools
Just start asking people to use or buy your product.
You'll get better over time.
5) People buy from friends
All things being equal, people buy from friends.
So, make a lot of friends ✨

Answer questions
Give ppl feedback
Connect people
Be helpful
8) Always qualify
To get to the right customers, push the wrong ones away.
13) Create urgency
Answer the question, “Why now?”
You can do this with:
Temporary discounts 💳
Limited quantities 📦
Limited time ⏱️
14) Be authentic to escape competition
✨No one is better at being you than you✨
Share your wins
Share your views
Share your peeves
Share your interests
Share your mistakes
Share your life events
20) Think long term
The transaction is cool.
Keeping people happy is cooler.
Think: human beings helping other human beings.
📌 You can read the whole thread on Twitter.
Btw, on Monday, I relaunched PM News.
Would mean a lot to me if you gave it a look.
It’s aimed towards working PMs & product designers so the price might be a bit steep for most people.
If you want to join but can’t afford it, email me :)
Thanks for reading Issue #29 🤗
