This week in our Retire with Money Facebook group, a member posed the question, "Just started playing around with Robinhood. Not real savvy on what/when to buy and when to sell. Is there a free site that passes on tips/info for folks to consider?" 

Robinhood is a commission-free trading platform that's gotten a lot of buzz lately. I would urge folks to proceed with caution when it comes to day trading on that or any other platform. As some members suggested,  it's generally best to buy and hold low-cost, broad-based index mutual funds or ETF for the bulk of your portfolio. If you want to reserve a small portion —  no more than 5% — for "play," be sure to stick to your limits. Remember that it's easy to get in over your head, and the consequences can be devastating.
