React v17.0 Release Candidate: No New Features - React

The React 17 release is unusual because it doesn’t add any new developer-facing features. Instead, this release is primarily focused on making it easier to upgrade React itself.

Xkit - OAuth infrastructure as a service - Xkit

Xkit helps developers build and maintain native integrations by turning OAuth for 25 of the most popular SaaS apps like Slack, GitHub, Salesforce into a single API call that always returns fresh access tokens.

Shieldfy - Automated code security assistant for developers - Shieldfy

Shieldfy allows developers to detect vulnerabilities and security issues in their codes. It can integrate in the developers workflow with support of Github/Bitbucket and Gitlab.

InvoiceNet - Deep neural network to extract intelligent information from invoice documents. - Github

Invoice documents contain sensitive information because of which collecting a sizable dataset has proven to be difficult. This makes it difficult for developers like us to train large-scale generalised models and make them available to the community.

Rome - A linter for JavaScript and TypeScript - Rome

Rome is not only linter, but also a compiler, bundler, test runner, and more, for JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, JSON, Markdown, and CSS. We aim to unify the entire frontend development toolchain.

Some more CSS comics - Julia Evans

Julia is back with another batch of her excellent CSS explainer comics. There’s six to go through here, covering things such as compatibility, specificity, centering, flexbox and more.

A conversation with Pablo Stanley on life as a remote designer - Maze

For a lot of people, life as a remote designer has come as a big surprise. But for world-renowned illustrator, designer, and co-founder, Pablo Stanley, the ‘new normal’ has a lot in common with his old normal.

Optimizing CSS for faster page loads - Tomas Pustelnik

Even though my site is fairly simple and doesn’t have too much room for improvements, by using the techniques mentioned there I was able to speed up the initial load of my webpage and lower the total size of assets.

10 Years of Designmodo: Highs, Lows, Lessons and Inspiration- Designmodo

All this time, I’ve never shared what happens behind the scenes here. It’s been an amazing journey.

Our new home for Atlassian Design System - Medium

A common misconception about design systems is that once they’re established, or, in this case, once their documentation is published or site is launched, they become an omnipotent and an unchangeable source of truth. A design system is never complete. This launch is simply the first step of many.

The Rogue Wave of Enterprise SaaS - StaySaaSy

The concept of a rogue wave reminded me of a particularly challenging stage in the life of many venture-backed enterprise SaaS startups. Similar to how a rogue wave forms, during this phase many Small Problems coincide and create a Big Problem.

A Cold Email That Worked - Indiehackers

I, like you, receive cold emails all the time; most of them I delete and I get on with my day, slightly annoyed that I even had to deal with it in the first place. But, I got one that immediately felt authentic, genuine, and it got me to not only read the entire thing but we managed to connect and setup a call.

MasterSaaS: The first free sales training masterclass with Google - 360Learning

Paying homage to MasterClass.com who first introduced beautifully edited masterclasses from the best of the world, we've created MasterSaaS, a SaaS Masterclass, with Google's Head of Sales Training, Brendan McGeever.
