In Our Carts This Week

Whether you’re packing up the car for long weekend road trips this fall or mentally planning an epic international vacation for 2022, you know you’ll be needing your suitcase again eventually. If your luggage or carry-on has seen better days — or worse, if you’re still dragging a two-wheel suitcase or scuffed-up duffel bag around the airport — you do not want to miss cult-favorite luggage brand Away’s first-ever sale.

The sale covers literally everything on the site, offering up to 50% off all styles and colors of suitcases,
weekender bags, and backpacks as well as convenient travel extras like packing cubes, garment bags, and luggage tags. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your luggage, now is the time. Meanwhile, smaller items like leather travel totes (I’ve got my eye on this one), and dopp kits would make great gifts for the upcoming season.

I’ve owned a standard polycarbonate Away carry-on since 2015, and while it’s no Rimowa, the bag has held up remarkably well. While I certainly don’t need to replace the five-year-old suitcase yet, I’m thinking about upgrading to the gold-colored aluminum edition for a little extra pizazz when I’m finally ready to hit the airport again. Until then, at least browsing this sale is helping me daydream through my next big trip.

The Best TVs For 2020, Whatever Your Budget

Despite the great number of screens in most people's lives, the TV is still the hearthstone of at-home entertainment. It dominates the living room or bedroom wall, providing immediate access to movies and TVs both new and beloved. Upgrading your television can also be a transformative experience, ushering in a new age of high detail programming, with greater colors and better sound than ever before.

There are a few key features of almost all modern, high-end TVs, whether you're looking for something truly trendsetting and futureproof, or a more affordable, budget-conscious model. They almost
all support 4K resolution and some form of HDR. The very best options offer 8K resolution, new connectors like HDMI 2.1 to support new-generation consoles, and much higher brightness for outstanding new HDR technologies, though you’ll have to pay a premium to get these features. TVs now have have thinner bezels, lightweight frames, better connectivity options, and more smart features than even high-end desktop PCs could enjoy just a few years ago.

Modern TVs might be leaner than ever, but they're also bigger and more affordable. No longer do you have to spend thousands to get a TV that can dominate a wall or TV stand. Whatever you want in a new TV though, whether it's size, picture quality, gaming responsiveness, or a little of everything, there's something for everyone in this list of the best TVs you can buy in 2020.
