Forbes - The Playoffs

It’s almost playoff season for Major League Baseball, and the organization is working hard to ensure that players can stay as safe as possible while still vying for the World Series. Playoff games will be played at neutral sites in “bubbles,” and players will be tested daily. The precautions that the MLB is taking are starkly different to the college sports approach, which has seemed to take a more casual attitude towards the virus. Today, the Louisiana State University football coach told reporters that nearly all of the players on his roster have contracted Covid-19, though there are only three or four that are still symptomatic or in quarantine. Some colleges are trying to crack down on these sorts of relaxed attitudes by expelling students for violating Covid-19 rules, but it remains to be seen if this will be an effective tactic.
