Thirty-four people are now infected in the current outbreak of Covid-19 sweeping through the White House, but President Trump announced last night that he believes there is a cure for the disease. In a recorded video, the President claimed that the antibody cocktail he took last week made by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals was the reason he was feeling better, and vowed to make the experimental treatment freely available to everyone in the country with Covid-19. It didn’t take critics long to point out that the CEO of Regeneron is a member of one of President Trump’s golf clubs, and has met in person with the president to discuss his company’s drugs. Soon after the President’s video, Regeneron announced that it had applied to the FDA for an Emergency Use Authorization for its drug, despite the fact that the company only has data on the drug from about 300 people.

Also on Fox Business, President Trump suggested that he got Covid-19 from a White House event honoring fallen soldiers, rather than the widely publicized event with Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. 

The President continues to say that China is responsible for Covid-19, and promises the country will pay a “big price” for its role in the pandemic.
