Hello!
We've created a two-minute survey for Popular Information readers. This information will never be sold or shared with anyone. The only purpose of this survey is to get to know our readers. That will help us make the newsletter more meaningful for you.
We also wanted to let you know that we've updated our guide to returning your mail-in ballot without using the Postal Service.
We believe that independent accountability journalism is important. That's why we are always looking for ways to expand our readership. The typical advice for newsletters seeking to grow is to buy ads on Facebook. But we don't think sending Facebook more cash is consistent with our values.
For us, the best way to grow Popular Information is for readers to tell their friends about it. You can spread the word by clicking the button below. It will generate a unique link. As your friends sign up, you'll qualify for exclusive Popular Information merchandise and invitation. If you have another minute, please spread the word.
In March, as the pandemic took hold of the United States, we decided to take down Popular Information's paywall. The pandemic put a financial strain on many people, and we didn't want the ability to pay to be a barrier to access. For the last six months, every edition of Popular Information has been available for free.
If the cost of this newsletter ($6/month or $50/year) would create any kind of financial strain, we hope you stay on this free list. But, if you can afford it, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
Popular Information accepts no advertising and only exists because of the support of readers like you. Our reporting has helped expand sick leave at the nation's largest grocery store chain, improved working conditions for cable technicians, and pressured large corporations to return tens of millions of taxpayer dollars intended for struggling small businesses. Last week, Popular Information won the 2020 Excellence in Newsletters award by Online News Association. You can read more about Popular Information's impact in 2020 here.
Thanks for your readership and support!
