We're over the moon about the response to last week's article on interview questions for candidates — big thanks to all who read, tweeted and shared it! Today we're back with a perennial hot topic here on the Review: how teams can move faster.

"A lot of product orgs have done a good job of optimizing for speed — they recognize they can't spend months building a product without getting it out into the market to test. They build MVPs and validate hypotheses with their users. But marketers have a hard time adopting this mindset and are more campaign driven," says Jaleh Rezaei, co-founder and CEO of Mutiny.

Before taking up the mantle of leading her own company, Rezaei served as Gusto's first marketing hire and later Head of Marketing, leading a team of 20+ marketers. She's seen firsthand that marketers tend to obsess over the latest winning tactic or must-use channels, overlooking what she believes is the single most critical ingredient: speed.

Your Marketing Org is Slow. Here's a Framework to Move Faster.

Let's face it, discussions on how startups can speed up often fall into the trap of overly-broad "move fast and break things" mantras that rarely yield actionable takeaways. That's why we loved Rezaei's tactical framework, carefully honed and tweaked in her years as a top marketing leader, and now head of her own startup.

In this exclusive interview, Rezaei points out the sneaky anchors that may be slowing down your team and doles out her advice for avoiding what she calls "going into the basement." Diving incredibly deep, she outlines her six-step framework for speeding up your marketing org. Along the way, she'll get candid about her own missteps that paved the way for critical lightbulb moments.

Whether you're a marketing leader looking to lead with a speed-first mindset, or a startup founder unsure of what's really going on over in marketing, we're certain today's article will unlock plenty of aha moments and tactics to try out right away.

Thanks, as always, for reading and sharing!
