Feature Announcement: Description per File

We just launched a small but often-requested feature: you can now add a description for each file in your Gumroad products. The customer sees this description next to the file in their library.

30-Second How-To for Adding Descriptions

First, click on the pencil icon on the file that you want to describe.

Then, add your description and click the check icon. Don't forget to save the product using the save button in the upper-right corner of the page.

Descriptions per file can be useful for explaining supported devices and software or otherwise helping your audience understand how to use your product. At the moment, the description only appears on the web version of the library, not the libraries on your customers' mobile apps, but adding this feature to mobile is on our roadmap.
