The current spike in Covid-19 cases is happening at a bad time in America. As the U.S. breaks global records for the most Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations (again), many in the country are wondering what to do as Thanksgiving and winter holidays steadily grow closer. Though it may  be tempting to travel, the CDC announced this week that airport screening for Covid-19 was expensive and not very effective. In Chicago, where cases and hospitalizations are rising rapidly, Mayor Lori Lightfood isn’t beating around the bush. Yesterday, she asked all residents of the city to cancel Thanksgiving plans with extended family in an effort to stem the spread of the virus.
