Switch Weekly - 🛡 Your calamitous Nintendo update
Eternal Download. Web version | Unsubscribe Hi, here's issue #208 of Switch Weekly, your Nintendo update. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is here. I've linked up a few reviews below - the consensus seems to be: this is a great gift for BotW fans, with plenty of lore. Seen a few folks note minor technical issues, but overall, it's a solid Musou game. Funny thing happened this week, I reached out to Panic Button for an update on Doom Eternal.... now, I didn't get a reply, but it's was amusing nontheless how a couple of days later Bethesda confirmed that the game is still on the way - although only as a digital release. REVIEW Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity — Described here as a neat idea, with plenty of big battles, and a few unfortunate technical woes in places. Overall, it's something of an "uneven Zelda love letter" that's hugely entertaining, but performance issues scupper "the game's ludicrous highs". Hirun Cryer at GamesRader called it "an ace accomplice to Breath of the Wild". Neal Ronaghan at Nintendo World Report said this spinoff "successfully deepends the lore" of the BotW world and is a "soundly enjoyable" Musou game, but also noted technical issues. Matthew Castle // VGC Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity creators discuss their favorite character, battle ladles — A brief Q&A with the team behind this Breath of the Wild prequel. Michael McWhertor // Polygon Doom Eternal for Switch has not been cancelled but is now a digital-only release — Good to finally have an update on this, albeit a far from ideal one. Expect more news later this month. Matt T.M. Kim // IGN Nintendo gift guide for 2020 — In case you missed this last week, I put together a gift guide for Nintendo fans. I've also added a few more items since publishing. Chris Brandrick // Digg REVIEW Chicken Police - Paint it Red — This visual novel/adventure detective game is described here as: "a brilliantly-written and joyously rich piece of narrative gaming" that's "one hell of an absorbing tale". Stuart Gipp // Nintendo Life REVIEW Sniper Elite 4 Sandy Kirchner-Wilson // Cubed 3 REVIEW Serious Sam Collection Matt S // Digitally Downloaded REVIEW Cake Bash Ben Kerry // Nintendo Enthusiast Does cloud gaming have a future on Switch? — With Control and Hitman now a thing on the Switch, Chirag asks that if such streaming tech works as intended, what could it mean for the broader future of cloud gaming on Switch? Chirag Pattni // Nintendo Enthusiast Mad at school — A teacher recounts her experience playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and how its 'Maddedning' mode gave her structure. Emily Price // Into The Spine It's not easy porting games to the Switch — But developers do it anyhow Keller Gordon // NPR Trans representation in gaming Dani Cross // The Digital Fix Super Mario Sunshine is the most forward-thinking 3D Mario James O'Connor // SuperJump Animal Crossing and the future of 'cozy' Twitch streams Emily Morrow // Liftoff Why I prefer the original Animal Crossing Isaiah McCall // SuperJump

Why do poly people have to talk like that?
Wednesday, April 17, 2024
It's not the sex that's the problem. It's the way these people talk that's infuriating. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
