The U.S. is close to having a COVID-19 vaccine, and trials show the leading contenders work better than expected in adults. But there’s a big lingering question: What about the kids?

It’s going to take a lot longer than many parents may have hoped before a vaccine is approved for children. Binghamton University professor and infectious disease pharmacist Wesley Kufel explains why and answers five common questions parents are asking.
